Biography

Leila joined Water UK in February 2024 as Head of Rivers and Seas, collaborating with industry leaders, government agencies, and others to shape policies for effective wastewater management. She has played a pivotal role in key programs, including the National Storm Overflow Plan for England and the upcoming National Storm Overflow Hub.

Previously, Leila was a Senior Legal and Policy Advisor at an environmental consulting firm, advising governments and private sectors on environmental frameworks. With nearly a decade of experience, she has worked at the intersection of policy, environment, and sustainable development globally.
