Biography

Károly Kovács is a past president and honorary member of the European Water Association (EWA), where he chairs the working group on economics. He is also a member of the Strategic Council of the African Water and Sanitation Association and participates in several EU-level water organizations, including the European Commission's Platform on Sustainable Finance.

With decades of experience in sustainable stormwater management and affordable water infrastructure, Károly focuses on the value of water and water-smart societies. His expertise includes infrastructure development, life cycle cost analysis, ESG taxonomy, and regulatory issues in water and wastewater.
